The location of The Eton Mess is hard to beat, just a short walk to the river. I enjoyed the free tea and coffee—it was a nice touch. The electric fireplace in the room added a cozy feel, perfect for chilly evenings. I found the room in need of some TLC. it felt a bit tired and the bed was uncomfortably firm. The breakfast service was a bit confusing. no one asked for our preferences, and we received a full English without choosing any items. While the food was decent, the lack of choice for dietary restrictions was concerning. I experienced issues with hot water. only a cold wash was available in the morning because the manager wasn't available until later. Those inconveniences really impacted the overall stay.

The location across the bridge from Windsor was superb! Our room was nice, but the carpet was downright filthy and breakfast was a disaster. 😟

Some common areas could also benefit from more comfortable seating options for relaxation.
